Tyson is a passionate "retention-driven" Higher Education administrator who supports colleges and industry partners with re-imagining practical methods to achieve ultimate student and staff development experiences. Tyson has served in a myriad of educational roles at colleges and universities for nearly 20 years. Having worked as an Academic Advisor, Director of Student Conduct, Associate Dean of University College, Dean of Students, Assistant Vice President and Associate Vice President he understands how to unpack your goals and achieve practical outcomes. Dr. Beale earned his Bachelor of Science and MBA from Radford University and Ph.D. in Higher Education from Morgan State University.

As a first generation college student, Beale maintains a commitment to providing Hope for the Hopeless & Vision for the Visionless. According to him, "the value of a college degree is an unfortunate conversation among 21st century college students – as leaders our roles must ensure that meaningful career opportunities and individualized successes are fully experienced by all."

 

In 2010 Beale completed a 200 page phenomenological qualitative dissertation on the retention of Black College men. A product of TRIO programs, he is versed on overcoming societal odds and winning in the college environment.
